The Holocaust

The holocaust was an event that changed the world forever. The holocaust was initiated in 1939 starting with rounding up the Jews into a confined area that the Nazi’s called "the Ghetto". The ghetto was used to confine the Jews from the rest of the Germans and from Germany. To many non-Jews and Nazi’s, the Jews were rats, had nothing good in life and were also looked at as worthless. In June 1941, the SS and Hitler, along with operation Reinhard, ordered to liquidate the Jews out of the ghetto and into concentration camps and killing centers. The camps main focus was killing and wiping out the population of Jews. Not only did they kill but they forced the young and healthy to work in forced labor camps.  Anyone who was sick, handicapped, or unable to work was killed…immediately.
